At Nenna Swim, having as minimal impact on the planet as possible is so important. That’s why we create children’s wear that doesn’t cost the earth or the beautiful people who craft our pieces.
We are proudly produced locally, slowly and kindly with a focus on mindfully designed pieces, using sustainable fabrics, made to the highest of quality. Plus, we’re a small local business with a teensy carbon footprint compared to the big guys!
While we still have a way to go before we are perfect, we truly believe when each person makes small changes and conscious choices, it makes a big difference. Here are just some of the way we are sustainable.
Recycled and sustainable fabrics
The lycra and subli-swift fabrics we use to make our gorgeous swimwear has always been and will continue to be made from 100% recycled materials. These innovative fabrics turn pre and post-industrial waste such as discarded fishing nets, the top part of Nylon carpets and tulle into the most soft, durable and breathable swim fabrics.
Linen is a natural material made from the flax plant. Generally, all of the plant is used in production which makes for zero waste. As well as being natural and sustainable, linen is also extremely durable and wears well which means it will last the endless adventures your little humans will have.
Not only is cotton a natural material, it is also beautifully soft and durable. Cotton is also hypoallergenic making it the perfect choice for your little humans’ clothing.
Zero plastic packaging
That’s right! We use zero plastic in our packaging
